1.Kuldhara
– The ghost village (Rajasthan)
Kuldhara is an abandoned village in the Jaisalmer district of
Rajastan,India.Established around the 13th century,it was once a
prosperous village inhabited by paliwal Brahmins.Once the prime minister of the
state,fell on the daughter of the village head and he desired to marry ger by
force.He threatened the village with grave consequences if they did not adhere
to his wish.Instead of submitting to the order of the tyrant,the palliwals held
a council and people of 85 villages left their ancestral homes and vanished.
But before leaving ,they put a curse on kuldhara that no one will ever be able
to settle in their village thereafter.
2.The Barog Tunnel
The Barog Tunnel located in North West India (shimla –
Kalka route),
The tunnel was opened to public in November 09,1903
Reportedly,the voice of a scorned British
railway engineer Captain Barog,
who was in charge of the task to complete the
tunnel but couldn’t complete due to miscalculation.However local says he’s
doesn’t harm people.
3.Khadki
War Cemetery (pune)
The khadki or kirkee
war cemetery in pune is supposed to be haunted by the ghost of the soldiers
buried there.Locals residents speak of witnessing supernatural disturbances
after dark and so avoid venturing out in the area.This place better be left
alone.
4.Feroz shah kotla fort
(Delhi)
The Feroz shah Kotla or kotla was a fortess build by sultan
Feroz shah Tughlaq to house his version of Delhi city call Ferozabad.
Evil spirits are known to live in the ruins of this old
fort.Reportedly,the ghosts around here are fond of sweets and it is believed
that offering delicacies appeases them.
5.Agrasen Ki Baoli (
New Delhi)
Agrasen Ki Baoli (also known as Ugrasen ki Baodi) is 60 meter long and
15 meter wide historical site. This mysterious step well was once filled with
black water that enticed people to jump and commit suicide.It is also believed
that the place casts evil spell on people who stay there after sunset.
6.Jatinga ( Assam )
This place is commonly known as valley of death of
birds,Jatinga is a small village on a ridge, is located in Dima Hasao district
(DHD),in the north eastern state of India.A strange unexplained phenomenon of
bird suicides are observed in this place.It has been reported that migratory
birds plummet to their death during dusk on moonless nights of September and October
7.Sanjay Van (New
Delhi)
Spanning over 6.2
miles (10km or 783 acreas),this forest located in the Qutab Institutional Area
is famous for its haunting story of lady in white appearing and soon disappearing
toward the creamtion ground near the area
8.Writer’s Building
(Kolkata)
This 3 story building
build in 17 century is famous for the presence of spirit of captain simpson of
British East India company,who was killed by revolutionaries,still in the
building.There have been stories of people hearing voices and sound of
footsteps at night
